New Ski Resorts add to Appeal of Year Round Turkey Property

Turkey may not be particularly well known for its skiing, and facilities at established resorts are often not up to the standards enjoyed by European and American resorts. This look set to change with a new resort opening up in Seki which is just an hour’s drive from the already popular coastal resort of Fethiye.

The newly opened resort boasts excellent facilities for skiers as well as offering potential investment opportunities in a brand new area. There is currently just one hotel with eight rooms which means beds are somewhat at a premium.

It’s possible to buy a three bed roomed villa off plan for £165,000 which will bring in rental of around £1200 per week during the ski season. These are located in Seki village which is just eight miles from the ski resort, and which has a good range of shops and taverns. The roads into the resort are currently being resurfaced offering good access.

However this area is also known for being a year round resort offering easy access to the immensely popular coastal resorts, while giving relief from the sometimes intense heat. It is a great area for those who enjoy an active holiday, so there is the possibility for year round rental revenue.

It is just an hour and a half from Dalaman airport which has frequent flights to the UK. Some homes in the area have been increasing steadily in value over the last couple of years with estimates ranging from 7 to 20%. This area could offer good capital growth opportunities and also great rental opportunities.

Things like this will continue to add to the appeal of Turkey property by increasing its presence as a year round destination.
